What are lifetime vehicle slots?
Lifetime vehicle slots are one-time purchases that permanently add vehicle monitoring capacity to your account.
Unlike subscription tiers that require ongoing payments, lifetime slots are purchased once and never expire.
How they work:
- Each lifetime slot adds capacity to monitor one additional vehicle
- Slots are permanent - they remain on your account forever
- Slots stack with your subscription tier
Example:
If you have a 2-Vehicle subscription and purchase 2 lifetime slots, you can monitor up to 4 vehicles total (2 from subscription + 2 from lifetime slots).
When to consider lifetime slots:
- You have more vehicles than your subscription covers
- You want to reduce long-term costs
- You prefer one-time payments over recurring fees
- You’re adding a new Tesla to your household
Where to purchase:
You can buy lifetime slots directly in the app under Settings > Subscription > Manage Lifetime Slots.
Note: Lifetime slots are tied to your account, not to specific vehicles. If you sell a Tesla and buy a new one, you can simply deactivate the old vehicle and activate the new one - your lifetime slots remain available.
