Does Sentry Driver control or limit how my Tesla is driven?

No. Sentry Driver only monitors and alerts — it never controls your car.

The app cannot cap the speed, limit acceleration, lock anything, or otherwise restrict how your Tesla is driven. It has no ability to send commands to the vehicle.

What it does is give you visibility: it watches how the car is being driven through Tesla’s official Fleet API and sends timely alerts — for speeding, hard braking, curfew, and zone violations — when your rules are crossed. If you want the car itself to enforce limits, that’s what Tesla’s built-in Parental Controls are for; Sentry Driver is the visibility layer on top.
