Do teens need to install an app?

No, your teen doesn’t need to install anything.

Sentry Driver is a parent-only app. It connects directly to your Tesla through the official Fleet API to monitor driving behavior. Your teen:

• Doesn’t need to download any app
• Doesn’t need to remember to turn anything on
• Doesn’t need to do anything differently when driving

The app works automatically in the background. When your teen takes the car, monitoring begins. When you’re in the car (detected via Bluetooth), monitoring is disabled.

This design ensures there’s no way for teens to disable or tamper with the monitoring - and it eliminates any friction in their driving experience.
