Do other drivers need to install the app?

No, only the vehicle owner needs Sentry Driver installed.

Sentry Driver connects directly to your Tesla through Tesla’s Fleet Telemetry API. Other drivers of your vehicle:

• Don’t need to download any app
• Don’t need to remember to turn anything on
• Don’t need to do anything differently when driving

The app works automatically. When someone else drives your Tesla, you receive alerts based on your configured rules. When you’re driving (detected via Bluetooth), alerts are automatically suppressed.

This works for any scenario where you share your vehicle - whether with family members, teenagers learning to drive, or anyone else.
