Introducing Sentry Driver: Know Who's Driving Your Tesla
Today we’re excited to announce Sentry Driver, a new app designed for Tesla owners who share their vehicles.
The Challenge of Sharing Your Car
Whether you’re teaching a teenager to drive, lending your car to a family member, or managing shared vehicles - you want to know your Tesla is being driven safely. Without real-time visibility, you’re left hoping for the best.
We built Sentry Driver to address this challenge: a monitoring tool that works quietly in the background, alerting you only when it matters.
What is Sentry Driver?
Sentry Driver is a vehicle monitoring app that connects to your Tesla through the official Fleet API. It monitors trips when someone else is driving (not you) and sends real-time alerts for:
- Speeding - Know immediately when they exceed limits
- Curfew violations - Get alerts for late-night driving
- Zone alerts - Know when they enter or leave specific areas
- Accident detection - Immediate alerts if your vehicle is in an accident
How It’s Different
Unlike GPS trackers that require hardware installation or apps that other drivers need to use, Sentry Driver:
- Works automatically - No action required from other drivers
- Uses official Tesla data - Accurate, reliable information from the Fleet API
- Detects owner vs. others - Bluetooth detection means monitoring only happens when others drive
- Respects privacy - We only access driving data, never camera footage
Perfect For
- Teen Drivers - Monitor new drivers as they learn
- Family Vehicles - Know how the car is being used when shared
- Fleet Management - Track company vehicles
- Lending Your Car - Peace of mind when someone borrows your Tesla
Get Started
Sentry Driver is available now on Google Play for Android devices (iOS coming soon). Start with a free 7-day trial to see how it works.
We believe that better information leads to better conversations about safe driving - and ultimately, safer drivers behind the wheel.
